HomeTown conducted its annual 2021 Rural Legislative Caucus luncheon yesterday with about 80 legislative attendees. This has become an annual event having started about five year go. This is a very prestigious event and is known to have a very good participation. HomeTown invited Blue Cross Blue Shield to cosponsor the event for as much as they have been strong participators in problem solving for hospital reimbursement issues. The subjects covered included
- The effect of the Pandemic on the rural hospital operations
- The effects of the CARE’s Act money on rural hospitals
- The various shortages of skills such as physicians, nurses, etc.
- Budget funding for Rural Stabilization Committee
