As a means to stay educated on issues affecting rural hospitals, HomeTown has gone back and studied some of the rural hospital closures of the last twenty years or so. One of the issues that arose in terms of these closures is insolvency . Thus below are a few observations about insolvency and how it affects rural hospital stability. Upon you review, we will be glad to answer any questions that you may have. Clearly this does not affect all rural hospitals but there may be occasions that these comments are worth of study.

As forecasted by HomeTown in December 2019, the first quarter of 2020 will be a cash starved time for many rural hospitals. It is living up to that forecast fully based on what you have told us from the field!! This email is about the reality that may be occurring in some rural hospitals.
