Rural hospitals are under a constant state of attack from many sources. The most current source added on top of the already long list was/is Hurricane Michael. As you know HomeTown already had the Survival and Sustainable theme for the HomeTown Fall Meeting beginning October 17-19, 2018 at Callaway Gardens. Now more than ever before is the need to get together and discuss the post hurricane trauma events that are affecting rural hospitals while they are fresh on our minds.
Also as you know, the agenda is geared so much for the sustainability issues to help rural hospitals.( See the agenda – View Agenda Here! ). Among many opportunities to discuss are to network and discuss the various post hurricane needs . HomeTown will identify the questions and incorporate them into the various agenda items. But more especially we will enhance the Town Hall meeting on Thursday to discuss lessons learned and discuss about how to proceed in the future because this will not be the last major catastrophe as we have seen for recent years.
