The Georgia House Rural Development Council has just met last week for three days in Statesboro. Enclosed below is the agenda for that meeting. The subject matter discussed was tremendous and will be dealt with periodically in the coming days by HomeTown. HomeTown was invited to speak to the group about critical issues impacting rural hospitals including CON. HomeTown’s discussion was based on being in the field with you for input. That input came from approximately 30 hospital visits, two policymaker tours including 16 visits in themselves and several community town hall meetings and hospital authority meetings all since April 2018. Thus the input was timely and relevant.
