Preserving Medicaid Coverage for Children and Families through Redetermination is Vital for Georgia’s Rural Communities

As an organization dedicated to supporting rural healthcare systems, HomeTown Health knows that the more people in a community who have health care coverage, the healthier that community and its economy will be.

Medicaid provides important coverage for many low-income rural communities, facilitating preventive care and care coordination for some of Georgia’s most vulnerable people. HomeTown Health, along with the State of Georgia, have one common goal in these efforts: ensuring that those who qualify for Medicaid and PeachCare for Kids® keep their benefits, including postpartum coverage for women and babies up to one year old.
