Medicaid Expansion would benefit Rural Areas the most!

Is it time to start the debate on Medicaid expansion as it relates to rural hospitals? As a starter to the debate, there has been published a credible report on the impact of Medicaid Expansion on rural hospitals and communities whereupon Andy Miller of Georgia Health News has published recently the synopsis of the report published by the Georgetown University’s Center for Children and Families and the University of North Carolina’s Rural Health Project. Because of the quality of work that these organizations do, it is felt that their work is a good place to start to study the potential impact of Medicaid Expansion on rural hospitals in Georgia . Now, to be sure, this is neither an endorsement of, a condemnation of, or advocacy for or against Medicaid Expansion in Georgia or any electoral candidate in any race but rather an analytical approach to the impact that Medicaid expansion may have on various rural communities in Georgia.
