How Temperature can save a Rural Hospitals: lock down the hospital & nursing home, screen all entrants

Given:

  1. Rural hospitals are the health care lifeblood for rural communities
  2. Rural Hospitals are extraordinarily vulnerable to the coronavirus pandemic and with up to 40 patient beds it houses the most vulnerable people
  3. Nursing homes and especially hospital-based nursing homes patients are equally or more so vulnerable ranging from 50 beds up to 150 beds which means that a highly vulnerable large number of captured vulnerable patients can be exposed to the pandemic unless screening controls are employed.
  4. Business Office personnel are critical to the survival of the local rural hospitals due to cash flow needs
  5. Temperature screening is the major effective tool to determine the presence of the coronavirus
  6. DO NOT ALLOW ANY VIOLATOR OF A TEMPERATURE SCREEN TO ENTER THE FACILITY.
