HomeTown’s Curated Consortiums for Grant-Funded Education

For over 15 years, HomeTown Health & HomeTown Health University have supported State Offices of Rural Health, and similar organizations, in improving quality outcomes through the provision of education and technical assistance to rural hospitals through the SHIP (and Flex!) programs. Our goal – help rural hospitals gain the skills needed to maintain compliance, adopt best practices, meet financial goals, enhance patient care and excel as a rural provider. Our educational programs are designed to keep participants informed, from baseline training for new staff, to routine industry updates, our programs are designed to step into the education and training gap for rural healthcare teams.

Our Curated Consortiums for 2026 are our Revenue Integrity Solutions & Education (RISE) program for revenue cycle teams and our Rural Swing Bed Management Program for swing bed teams and facilities. Each consortium includes on-demand education, live webinars and training events, as well as customized one-on-one technical assistance for participants.

Looking to utilize grant-based funds for your rural health network or organization?

Options of partnership:

  • Hospital direct purchases (using grant funds designated for education)
    • If your state allows hospitals to choose their own means of spending within grant-provided framework, consider sharing HomeTown’s curated programs with your qualified facilities! (Let us know if you’d like a flyer or more information to distribute directly to your network)
  • Consortiums or Cohorts (organized by State Offices or other grant-recipients)

Have a different focus area planned for your funding?

HomeTown is proud to customize education and technical assistance programs around the key areas of your needs – including, but not limited to, population health, quality, operations, patient safety, coding, and more. HomeTown Health University (HTHU) is our online learning management system, with over 700 courses in 10+ catalogs of training – allowing healthcare professionals to earn CEUs, deepen their healthcare knowledge and encourage best practices. HTHU has served over 80,000 learners in the past 15 years. Through curated offerings, HomeTown can help your rural hospital or rural network gain access to key education and training through on-demand courses,

If your state likes to offer an opt-in consortium or cohort program, to maximize impact to many facilities around a single focus area, we’d love to work with your organization as a sub-contractor for provision of education, training & technical assistance!
