Earlier this week HomeTown conducted it second Policymaker Tour of the 2018 season. It was an extremely intense trip that lasted two days and visited 6 hospitals as well as Mercer School of Medicine and Georgia Partnership for Telehealth. It covered well over 500 miles in 2 days.
The policymakers included:

- DCH Deputy Commissioner Kate Pfirman
The hospitals included:
- Upson Regional Medical – Project Manager – Sallie Barker and team Presenter
- Flint River Hospital – Michael Patterson CEO – Presenter
- Colquitt Regional Hospital – Business Office Director – Samantha Allen, Mike Wyche -Presenters
- Cook Regional Medical Center – Adel Michael Purvis CEO – Presenter
- Clinch Memorial Hospital – Angela Ammons CEO– Presenter
- Miller County Hospital – Robin Rau CEO presenter (as a Rural Stabilization Committee collaborator)
- Evans Memorial Hospital – Nikki Nesmith CEO, and team
- Mercer University School of Medicine – Dr. Jean Sumner – Dean and team – presenters
- Georgia Partnership for Telehealth – Rena Brewer CEO and team – presenters
- Plus, The State Office of Rural Health – Director Patsy Whaley attended as well
Each hospital and site had about 1.5 hours to present their story and they did extraordinarily well!
