HomeTown continues your advocacy for Rural Hospitals by conducting it first Policymaker Tour for 2020

Given:

  1. HomeTown has for the last thirteen years conducted policymaker tours out to your hospitals during the summer
  2. The purpose of these trips is
    • to continue to educate legislators about rural health care issues in rural Georgia and
    • to answer their questions so they may carry those impressions and answers back to the legislature for their consumption.
    • For example, Chairman England’s has made 6 trips to the field thus he and many others have gained a tremendous education in rural health care.
  3. This first of three 2020 policymaker tours included hospital and CEO’s as follows:
    • Miller County Hospitals –  CEO – Robin Rau
    • Clinch Memorial Hospital – CEO –  Angela Ammons
    • Candler County Hospital – CEO  – Michael Purvis
    • Emanuel County Hospital – CEO  – Damien Scott
