Given:
- Rural Hospital Cash positions are possibly worse than they have ever been for the neediest rural hospitals
- This is a national trend
- Cash positions in many Georgia rural hospitals are less than 5 days cash in some cases less than 2 days cash
- Desperation can easily set in for the community
- Payables can approach or exceed 100 days
- Hospitals can close due to a fiscal call by vendors, meaning call the debt because their bank has called their debt through FDIC
- 2020 first quarter is wreaking havoc on many rural hospital revenues and cash because the first quarter of a year carries premiums higher and deductibles and copays very high and requiring cash for services rendered OR the charges go to self-pay and indigent due being under insured.
